*THE SHORT STORY PAGE*

These are my short stories.
Hopefully you find them a little odd. Maybe even strange.
A distinct change from the rest of my work I trust.
Some are a bit longer than most of the stuff I have done. I am trying here.
Some are not. Seems that some are not much more than a page, that is uber short.

The latest addition to this selection is at the top of the page
and oldest is at the bottom. More sensible eh?

• The Boy who cried Wood: A relook at an old story.
• The Consulting Bear:A bear, a cottage, a practice and a fairy, the same old story.
• The Five Chickens:OH Chickens again, this time there are five.
• The quiet Chicken:Not another story about a chicken.oh yes.
• The Bear that knew everything: Another tale with a message.
• The Enchanted Chicken: A tale of long ago. Salvation may come in many forms, this was one of them
• The Chicken Plague: A tale of long ago. Strange happenings in the barnyard...
• The walls of Troy: The legend, so guess what really happenned.
• The College Pig: A pig goes to college, so what could be wrong with that?
• The Two frogs: Living in a pond, a story of expectations, and its effects.
• The Three Princes: The story of David and Goliath and other friends.
• The journeys end: Not that train again, yet another trip.
• Death on a train: A journey more eventful than one might like.
• The Voice. This is what finally resulted.
• The voice:I started a story and stopped it.[for it was not working].sort of a tease in two parts I leave you to sort that out.
• The train: Tiny tale about a train, and Christmas, sort of.
• A Dragon's Tale: A Dragon a Princess, a bunch of guys.
• Trev the troll: Once upon a time, there was this troll who got a guitar.
• The Curse of Darkness: Once upon a time, there was an old wizard.
• The Magic Mirror: Mirror mirror on the wall, you know the rest? Maybe not.
• The Wish Fairy:Under-perfoming in the fairy business has it's consequences.
• Hansel und Gretel: Another for the nursery books. Just re-imaged for the 21st Century but still good.
• The Three Bears: An identity crisis is at the base of all this. Another for the nursery books.
• The Three Little pigs: They went of to market and supported the economy.
• The Ant and the Grasshopper: Soon to be a classic tale, no doubt, with a moral even.
• Winston and the search for Wisdom: A quest, a tale of searching and what is it all about.
• Denny and friend: One man, of not nice nature and an encounter. In the twilight zone.
• The Duck tape: A short tale, and a pun and a poor one.
• Handsome Jack: A medium size tale, hey the name says it all.
• A Tale of the old west: A cheapo cowboy tale. Hee Yah y'all.
• The Old man on the bus: Profound or creepy, just depends I guess.
• The Code of the West: Damon Runyon rides again in this overlong tale; a style attempt.
• The Old Man and the Mountain: Not as epic as it could be but a lesson in life maybe,
• The Walker: An old guy and a dog, a morning excerise.
• A day at the beach: Dark and depressing. So sad.
• The List: You gotta be organized, or maybe some one has to.
• Jack and the King: A tale of greed and promises and mild magic.
• Jack and the Banker: Oh no not another one of these stories.
  
• The star: 3 Wise men seeking guidance and oh it works out well, in the end.
• Pete the alien: very short indeed is this one and somewhat pointless too.
• The message: A tale from times long gone.
• The green man: A chance encounter, three wishes, etc etc.
• Snapshot: Three snapshots; there are differences.
• What you wish: Sometimes you get what you asked for
• The storyman: Some times you travel further than you intend.
• The golden tuna: A wombat in search of the meaning of life.
• The predator: Things are sometimes not what they seem.
